Happy New Year: I cannot believe we are
already in the second week of the New Year. There is SO much I
wanted to do right away in 2015 and it’s already slipping. I’ll catch you
all up on a few announcements and New Year plans…
I am always looking for
something new and little soulful to start out each new year. I was
introduced to Danielle
LaPorte’s book The Desire Map and loved what I saw so much that I
signed up to be a Desire
Map Workshop Licensed Facilitator. What this means is that I get to
put together workshops utilizing the concepts in The Desire Map. Within a
retreat like setting, we work through questions and thoughts to discover our
Core Desired Feelings and then we map our goals and intentions to that.
Doing what we are meant to do and what feels good.
One of the first Full Day
Intensive Workshop will be held next Saturday, January 17th
in Walnut Creek, CA. Regular price for these workshops is
$245. Groups and businesses get a significant discount (great for team
building). I need people to give me feedback and testimonials that I can use
for future workshops. If you are interested
in being a “Beta” attendee – the price is only $45 for the full workshop and
materials (for Jan 17th workshop only). I have room for a few more for next Saturday – please join us if
you can (scroll to bottom of sign up page for Beta price). I
am looking for business groups or hosts for Feb and March – if you would like
to get a group (5 or more) together to do this workshop, let me know asap
(hosts are free). If you are not local but wish to learn more about The Desire Map or
becoming and Workshop
Facilitator – click
here. Also, I added a sample chapter of the book for those
interested.
Speaking of workshops, Sarah
Whitcomb Antiques is now lining up workshop classes in Loomis, CA.
Vintage Pin Art, Electric Re-wiring, Finishing and more. Check it out at www.sarahwhitcombantiques.com
and sign up on their form if you are interested. I’ll be doing Milk
Paint Workshops there once a months starting in Feb. Let me know if
you want to be on that list.
Dee Foust Harvey will also host a workshop there sometime this year once we come
up with something fabulous for her to design and teach. Again, be sure to
be on my
list or like my facebook page
to make sure you get all these alerts.
I’m always adding new things
to Burlap and Bees Online and will
be adding lots of great garden merchandise soon. Check out the Home Décor
Collections Furniture for some very cool rustic urban looks. If you like Santos, Artifacts, Mannequins, Crowns and Fun
Jewels, I’m adding much more of that in the next few weeks as well. So,
keep checking online or seeing
things as they come in on our facebook
page.
Would love to connect with
you all at one of the workshops or the shop. Stay tuned for more events
and workshops coming in 2015 with Burlap and Bees. Happiest of New Years,
Lisa
